First Day of School!!!!!

Nathan started school today. He was so excited. There were a few tears, not by him, by me.

Everybody waits together before going to class.
We got there early so it was not this full, this was as we were leaving, without my boy :,(

Here he is waiting with his class. His teacher gave him a name tag, he thought that was cool.

He wanted to eat breakfast at school. This was after he ate breakfast at home.

Outside of the school. We have to come in the back way because the front of the school is under construction.

Outside of our house before the walk to school. He is getting so tall.

His backpack is full of treats for his class. He carried it halfway, I carried it the rest of the way.

There he is, as happy as can be. There is a bit of bad news to share. for some reason our compact flash card from our camera went crazy and we lost all of the pictures from his birthday party. I am extremely upset over it and have tried everything to recover them. Dan has been talking with SanDisk and Cannon for the past four days. It doesn't look good, they are giving us a new card though. Not much of a help considering we had to buy a new one and overnight it just so we could take these pictures. Totally worth it though, I wouldn't have wanted to miss any of these moments. I love my Nathan, I am so proud of him!

Happy Birthday Nathan!!

My Nathan is 5! He has grown so much this past year in many different ways. I am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished. I know that he will do great in school in two weeks. We have done all of his school shopping and he is so excited. He has a meeting with his teacher next week, and we went to get him registered earlier this week. He couldn't believe that there was a library in the school. He is so funny, smart, and just so creative. I love my little boy and am so excited to see who and what he will grow up to be. We love you Nathan!

John Deere Day

For PaPa's Birthday we went to the John Deere pavilion and John Deere world headquarters.

Every piece of equipment is huge!

Chris helped build this one.

We milked fake cows.

Because that is what you do in Iowa, you milk fake cows because there just are not enough real cows to be milked.

Sometimes you have to sit in tractor wheels and think about life.

Sometimes life is so bad you curl up in the fetal position in tractor wheels.

You always have to have one of these in the mix.

Oh look kids! It is farmer MomMom, in her . . .

Really huge tractor. This thing was a beast!

Nora will strike a pose anywhere. She makes that tractor wheel look good!

Classic family picture. Good times.

Naibi Zoo

For Nora's birthday we went to Naibi Zoo. They had this great train that the kids loved, it took you around the whole zoo.

Family photo on the train, look how excited Nathan is!

Can you be any happier on a hippo?

Nathan feeding goats with my help.

Mom-Mom feeding her lambers.

That is my nasty looking hand with the very cool bird on it.

I didn't like this one at all, looked kind of devilish.

See the baby? He is bran new!

The most pathetic display of penguins I have ever seen. Nora was yelling "Penguinos!!"

The kids had their first carousel ride. They look bored out of their minds once it started.

Nathan cruising for chicks with his buddy. Nora refused to ride on it.

Super Model Nora. Showing off her $1 tutu.

So happy!!!

Opening the card from " The Great Aunts" out in Utah. They always send tons of sticker on their cards. She loved it!

Princess Nora. It was a great day for her, we love you Nora!
