First Day of Dance!

Nora is taking a dance class, her Aunt Lori is her teacher and her cousins Max and Caleb are in the class with her. She had her first day yesterday and LOVED IT!!

This morning she got up and tried to get her leotard and leggings on by herself because she wanted to go to class again. She loves it so much!

Yearly Check-ups!!

It is the start of another school year folks, so that means the yearly check-ups for the kiddos. We will start off with this guy.

So far he has lost two teeth, the two bottom front. He is off of his training wheels and does tons of tricks on his bike. So scary! He will start kindergarten in September.

Last year he weighed 40.2 lbs
This year he weighs 44.2 lbs
*******************************
Last year he was 43.5 inches
This year he is 44.5 inches

Overall the Doc was pretty happy with his progress.

Now on to this little girl.

Nora has become very social and is just overall a sweetie-pie. She will start taking dance next week and loves to sing. She will also be starting preschool in September and I am sure she will do great!

Last year she weighed 28 lbs
This year she weighs 31.6 lbs
********************************
Last year she was 37.25 inches
This year she is 38.5 inches

the Doc was also pleased with her progress. They both had vision tests and did very well. No worries at all! Yea for healthy, happy kids!!

Nathan's 6th Birthday Party!!

Nathan turned 6 on the 13th! he has been talking about golfing for forever so we decided to take him mini-golfing. He had a blast! I on the other hand was fighting strep throat and an abscess on my tonsil. Not one of my fondest days but I did my best for him.

He was happy as a clam! Nora was bored and had an interesting approach to her swing.

Nathan was very serious about it. It just might be his game. Especially if he takes after his Momma, I got 3 hole-in-ones!!! and that was on an off day!

Nathan got a new bike and helmet earlier this summer so his presents were meager at the party.

Thrilled with his gift from Mommy and Daddy. It is a marble track set that you build. he plays with it every morning and is captivated by all the gears, the elevator, and all of the shoots. Go us! We nailed this one!!

This was from the Caley's. He asks to play it everyday, it is also a building game. Tons o' fun!! Thanks Caley's!!

Nathan told me that he wanted a surprise party. He really didn't. For a good 15 min after he was surprised he could not function. We did the cake right after the surprise, he was not comfortable at all having his picture taken right then. He even had Nora blow out the candles for him!

Still a little embarrassed by the camera!

There is my boy! All relaxed and enjoying himself! We love him so much! I cannot believe how far he has come and I cannot wait to see how far he will go! He is one of the most intelligent kids I know and I know if we support him in the ways he needs us to, that he will go far in this world. We love you buddy!!

Fun in the van!

We recently took a quick trip back to Iowa for Dan's parent's 50th wedding anniversary. On the way home Nora got a little bored and made herself a cat. I think that she did a really good job. She told me that she was trying to be Mater (the neighbor's cat), there is a strong resemblance!

Not sure what this code means but she was very particular about it.

Nathan being silly. Nothing quite compares to living out of your van for a week. I love my family, they are troopers!
