Christmas Lists

I had the idea today to have the kids make their Christmas lists for Santa. They proved to be rather interesting so I thought I would share them. Enjoy!

Nathan:
1. Cash Register
2. Phone (iphone 4)
3. Picture Frame (no mention of a photo for the frame)
4. Wallet with money in it
5. Toilet Game (saw it on TV)
6. Airplane with a camera
7. Lightening McQueen with a remote control
8. 3 Chocolate Chip Cookies for Nathan (not for Santa)
9. Helicopter
10. Spaceship that can fly and has a camera on it
11. Alarm Clock
12. Spongebob Robot that is 2 feet tall

Nora:
1. Princess Castle
2. Stuffed Bear
3. A Star that lights up at night
4. 2 no, 4 Fake Cookies
5. Doll House
6. Make Up
8. Pretend Hair Dryer
9. Flowers
10. A Fake Fish Tank - only for kids
11. Christmas Ornament

Nathan will for sure be disappointed this year. He is awfully high tech!!

I also asked them what they would like to give to other in the house. A snowblower came to Nora's mind for Papa, keep in mind he already has two and we have one in storage! Nathan wants to give Mommy and Daddy a big toy gun. He would like to give Mom-Mom a wooden swing and Papa his own stocking.
I love my kids!

The Fun

Doughnut Eating Contest!! Mikayla taking charge!

I had no idea that her tongue was so long!

Nora and Adam are best friends! They were "together" all day.
Bryan doing his best.

Nora is a champ!

Bradyn, the doughnut is winning!

Adam being a pro.

A few weeks ago we raked up all the leaves in the front yard and put them in the good ole' trusty trailer. BIGGEST LEAF PILE EVER!!!!

We also played pin the tail on the camel witch. A little unconventional but it was a good time. This camel was made sometime in the sixties by my Grandma Terry. I made the hat. Mom bravely held the camel while the kids poked where they wanted to put the tail. (No camels were hurt in this activity. No MomMoms were hurt in this activity either.)

We also had a pumpkin race. We are just full of fun!!

Then MomMom told us the story of Mr. Brown. This is just a taste of the story. We filled black "body bags" full of Mr. Brown's remains.
His brain was a boiled head of cauliflower
His intestines were cooked spaghetti
His eyes were peeled globe grapes
His heart was a peeled tomato
His skin was a fruit roll-up
His finger bones were in shell peanuts
His tongue was an oyster
His ear was a dried apricot
His teeth were eclipse gum
His hand was a rubber glove filled with salt
His hair was cotton cobwebs
Most of the kids were brave enough to put their hands in the bags and feel his body parts. It was a lot of fun. All in all we had a great day. We all went trick o' treating together as well. McCausland is one of the best places I have ever gone trick o' treating. Countless amounts of full size candy bars. The only thing that would have made the day perfect is if the Hawkeyes could have pulled out a win.
