One last thing . .

Do you see the beautiful order of this garden? The little green trails are carrots.

And would you look at those sexy roma tomatoes . . . oh baby.

Gardening

Gardening is funny. Your garden is always there, you see it everyday. You just don't notice how much it is growing. Gardens are like kids in that way, in a lot of ways really. You have to tend to it daily, you have to water it, feed it, make sure that it has proper drainage, and sometimes you just need to put a fence around it. So you see, gardens and kids are almost the same, if you think about it.

Summer Fun

Ben showing off his athleticism. Go Ben.

Hey Alex, easy on the little guys!

This is about all the fun big boys can have in a kiddie pool.

Ben, do you see that six pack!! What are they feeding this kid?

Andrew love the water wedgie!

Adam is such a cheeser!

The boys did pretty well taking turns.

One of Nora's few times on the slip n' slide.

All in all it was a great time. We went to the park afterward. Those boys are fearless, they are a great influence on my son! We love the Hayes Family!!

Mud Days

My children are lots of fun. They keep themselves occupied in so many ways during the summer. After a rain storm there is lots to do on the ol' Hanselmann Homestead. First you need to visit the mud hole. Invite your sister to play by splashing her with muddy water.

Now, lets think about what to do next

Okay, Nathan has an idea, do you see the light bulb in his head? Nathan, "Okay Nora let's do this thing!"

Nora says, "Oh Nathan this is a great idea!!! This is so much fun!!!"

Nathan says, " I am a genius!"

Everyone should try this, it is so good for your skin and hair!!

I am a super genius!!!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Today the Hanselmann Family put in a garden. Just a small one, 2 beefsteak tomato plants (compliments of our neighbor), 1 roma tomato plant, 1 orange pepper plant, 1 red/green pepper plant, 1 zucchini plant, 1 yellow squash plant. Dan removed all of the sod, and turned the earth by hand, well with a shovel. I have never done a garden without a tiller before, we will have to see how much weeding I will have to do! The kids were a big help with the digging and watering. Hopefully they will stay out of the garden, unless they are weeding of course! Things have been busy this past week. I will have to post pictures of the wedding we shot this weekend when we have them finished. Alyssa, my cousin was a beautiful bride, we had a lot of fun.
